The brief
The focus of Chingford Foundation School's sixth form refurbishment was to give the space that is fully integrated its own identity outside of the main school. To achieve this, it was agreed the space should be a bright, engaging, and exciting environment filled with colour.
Education fit-out experts Envoplan were chosen to design and deliver this project due to their track record of creating learning environments that are unconventional but still inspiring and effective. Their in-house designers worked with the Heads of Departments at the school to tailor the design to meet their brief. Together, they created a unique and vibrant design scheme; all while continuing to emphasise the school's "A Firm Foundation for Life" ethos.

The wide variety of colour choices meant that we could choose the perfect shades to complement the design and make prospective students go 'wow, I want to be part of that' as they walk past the glass front door.
Our solution
Strive HD Stacking Chairs: Specified in Rubber Ducky, Purple Haze, Light Tone and Mardi Gras, KI's Strive HD stacking chairs were used emphasise the sixth form's colour scheme and to create a flow between the various spaces. Made with a polypropylene shell, these chairs are an elegant in style yet durable choice for high-traffic areas.
Designed by Giancarlo Piretti, Strive offers exceptional support via its radiused backrest and contoured seat which together encourage movement and relieve pressure points. The HD chair stacks up to 6-high on the floor and 30-high on a dolly, making it a great solution for multipurpose spaces that need to be flexible and adaptable.
Strive's simple, yet elegant style is at home everywhere from corporate interiors to education and healthcare environments. Available in a vast range of finishes and optional upholstered seat pads, Strive offers a consistent design language in an extended seating line.
