KI’s Postura+ adds practicality and colour to new Madrid school

September 19, 2020

KI furniture has once again been chosen by Spanish furniture dealer, Federico Giner, this time for Richmond Park School in Madrid.

The school offers a curriculum for 2 – 18 year olds that is based on the English National Curriculum, but has also been broadened to include subjects such as communication and thinking skills. There is also a strong focus on the arts and sports at the school and a number of facilities were created to promote culture and wellbeing. These include an indoor swimming pool, and a large multi-use hall (with backstage area).

The school's sustainability programme also means that pupils are introduced to and educated on the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

With regards to the furniture used, the overall aesthetic was developed between Federico Giner and the Richmond Park School management team. As a result, KI's Postura+ chairs have been used throughout the Library, Art rooms, Classrooms, and the Staff room; this includes a shell of the chair that was combined with one of Federico Giner’s own frames to create a stool.

The chairs were chosen in line with the school’s ethos about providing students with the necessary tools to help them reach their potential. They meet this by providing ergonomic support as well comfort and easy manoeuvrability.

The Design team at Federico Giner said, "The Postura+ chair is the perfect addition to Richmond Park School. Its ergonomic design and its robust but light frame mean that students can learn and develop their skills in comfort."
