Fremantle Media

The Brief

KI have provided its 800 Series storage solutions to FremantleMedia, one of the largest creators and producers of entertainment in the world such as The Bill, Neighbours and The X Factor. FremantleMedia wanted to redesign the interior of their offices to get the business working more efficiently.

The 800 Series range allowed for the efficient storage of a mix of filing media. Units were kept low to maintain a clear view across the open plan areas. Tall flush fronted cupboards with top boxes have been installed around the perimeter of the offices creating enough wall storage to cater for team and bulk media. On another floor the 800 Series has been used in black with white tops creating a dramatic impact. Double-depth cupboards have been used with the reverse side used for the storage of DVDs, magazine racks and other media formats.

The space has worked well. The white furniture gives a real sense of space which is punctuated by the vivid lime green. Breakout areas created by clever positioning of cupboards and screens are being utilised more than expected so we hope to apply this elsewhere in the business.

Our Solution

The KI 800 Series range has entirely flush fronts made possible by a unique patented slide suspension with an integral touch latch mechanism. This allows designers to create runs of cabinets without pulls to achieve a cleaner, more monolithic aesthetic, without compromising functionality and flexibility.

KI 800 Series is offered in any colour from the RAL chart. This enabled FremantleMedia to match the soft white of the new cupboards to the RAL soft white of the other furniture in the office. KI storage systems are all designed to release value from a company’s premises, improve staff productivity and optimise the use of a building.

The Director of Operations and Strategy wanted to have a very strong visual impact and was delighted to find the KI 800 Series with its touch latches giving a look of purity and architectural feel.
