The brief

The flagship Idea Store in Whitechapel, designed by David Adjaye, is a revolutionary re-think of the traditional library. In total there are seven Idea Stores within the Tower Hamlets Borough, London. Idea Stores are more than just a library or a place for learning. As well as library services, they offer a wide range of adult learning courses alongside extensive activities and events programme.

The Watney Market Idea Store designed by Bisset Adams is a bright, colourful space, natural light from huge windows combined with bright lights from the exposed ceiling creates a spacious and open feel. There are various collaborative areas with furniture to match the interior colour scheme.

Our solution

Postura+ stackable seating in forest powder blue, lime green & tangerine - A bright feature in the children’s section of the Idea Store, Postura+ chairs were provided to complement the overall colour scheme.
