IFF Research, London

With an increased number of staff working from home and the subsequent reduction in the need for desks, IFF Research, an independent social and market research agency, ended up with a large area of empty space. The aim of the project was to create a space that would act as an ‘in between’ to the overbooked meeting rooms, and the ‘too casual’ kitchen; somewhere flexible that could accommodate both collaborative group discussions and informal one-on-one meetings.

ISDA, London

ISDA worked with workplace interior design studio Shaw Studios and furniture dealer Day2 Interiors for the fit out of the new office space. “The project was all during the pandemic and we were so impressed with the lengths KI went to, to present innovative solutions, create visuals and the service they offered all the way through” – Melanie Tse from Day2 (Project specifiers).

The new office design went through a rigorous and collaborative process in order to get the facilities right. The office features a varying ratio of 6-8 desks per 10 employees, supplemented by numerous alternative workspaces such as breakout areas, meeting rooms and individual booths. All personal lockers (both 800 Series steel lockers provided by KI, and built-in locker walls) have now been fitted with RFID-enabled locks.

Paramount Pictures, London

The nature of film releases creates an unusual, dynamic way of working at Paramount Pictures. This raises a number of interesting challenges for our workplace strategy – traditional space planning, power supply and furniture design had to be reassessed in order to facilitate this hybrid of fixed and highly reconfigurable office landscapes. Working together with Rapid Office and KI, we were able to achieve our vision for a modern office, fit for purpose and on brand. In addition to looking great, the new offices enhance our team’s wellbeing, which is important for our employer branding, both now and into the future.
