- Capital expenditure and indirect procurement.
Policy Principles
- Compliance: Adhere to all applicable UK laws including, but not limited to:
- UK GDPR / Data Protection Act 2018.
- Bribery Act 2010.
- Modern Slavery Act 2015.
- Equality Act 2010.
- Value for money.
- Fair competition.
- Sustainability.
- Circular economy principles.
- Commitment to purchase certified timber – FSC/PEFC certification.
- Social value.
- Quality & safety (BS EN standards for office/education furniture.
- Risk management.
- Traceability & accountability.
- Careful supplier selection & due diligence.
Conflicts of Interest
- Staff must declare any personal or financial interest with suppliers.
Training & Awareness
- Mandatory induction training for all staff involved in procurement (Sales Support, Design, Finance).
- Annual refresher training.
Policy Review
- Reviewed annually by the Supply Chain Manager.
- Procurement will be monitored by the Supply Chain Manager and Finance Team. Senior Management will be kept abreast of key information.
