Sebel
Chair

As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, we’re introducing the Sebel Chair, manufactured entirely from 100% post-consumer waste.

Unlike most chairs that incorporate a colour masterbatch (typically 3% of a chair’s weight and not recycled), Sebel avoids this addition ensuring that the entire chair is made from 100% post-consumer waste. As a result of this, Sebel comes in a colour we call Grey-dient, meaning each chair varies slightly in shade, with subtle differences in grey tones reflecting the nature of the recycled material.

Lightweight, antistatic, stain-resistant, and easy to clean, Sebel is designed to support natural posture and meet the demands of everyday use in learning environments, with durable polypropylene legs built to withstand impact and wear, with our longest product warranty, of 25 years, to back this.

  • Sustainability

Making quality products that last is our priority, that’s why Sebel has a 25 year guarantee for structural defects and is certified to Indoor Advantage Gold, supporting healthier indoor environments.

We are committed to maximising recycled content used across our products and are proud to be leading the way and pushing the boundaries to make that happen. Sebel chairs contain the following recycled content:

    – 100% post-consumer waste recycled polypropylene

Each chair diverts approximately 4.5kg of post-consumer plastic waste from landfill, transforming everyday household plastics into durable seating designed to last for decades.

Unlike many recycled plastic products that incorporate virgin colourants or additives, Sebel chairs are made entirely from recycled material, with no added colourants or additives. As a result, it comes in a colour we call Grey-dient, meaning each chair varies slightly in shade, with subtle differences in grey tones reflecting the nature of the recycled material.

Post-consumer waste is material that has been used by consumers / households and is no longer needed or usable for its original purpose. This includes food packaging and trays, beverage bottles, toiletry packaging and more. Recycling post-consumer waste helps reduce landfill waste and conserve resources.

Sebel is 100% recyclable at end of life.
