Since entering the UK market in the 1990s, KI has steadily grown a diverse portfolio of products across the workplace and education sectors in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa). In recent years, this strategy of product development has come to fruition with the company registering all-time record sales in July 2018. Supported by an ongoing programme of investment in skills, customer service, in-house design capabilities, tooling, supply chain and distribution partners, these strong results underline the company’s long-term strategy for expansion.
Record sales for the workplace division have been underpinned by recent major project wins across the finance, technology and professional services sectors in the UK, Ireland, France, The Netherlands, Sweden, Malta, Gibraltar, Bulgaria, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Customers are investing in KI’s growing portfolio of new, UK designed and manufactured storage, sit-stand workstations, seating and table collections, further enhanced by KI’s ability to rapidly co-create and tailor products to suit specific customer requirements. Strong sales growth was also recorded by the education division which has been consistently expanding sales beyond its core market of primary and secondary schools, gaining greater popularity amongst universities and colleges across the UK and Europe.
Jonathan Hindle, Group Managing Director, KI EMEA, comments: "Specifying furniture that enhances worker and student wellbeing has been a critical driver for KI’s recent success. Our investments in product development over recent years have focused on helping organisations meet these evolving needs, whilst offering products that remain true to KI’s reputation for quality design and engineering, reliability, robustness and versatility. Equally important has been our investment in our supply chains and customer service teams, ensuring that not only do we make great products, we are great to do business with, too. These record results are testament to the team’s collective efforts, whilst giving our customers confidence that we can continue to be a supplier of choice throughout the EMEA region for the years to come."
