The Brief
Following on from successful installations at their global sales offices in Manchester and New York, global client Etihad Airways furnished its new headquarters in Abu Dhabi with a range of KI's UK-manufactured products. The design concept for the new offices are predominantly open plan with a dedicated call centre floor. Other functional areas include executive and conference suites, training rooms, restaurants and breakout areas. The colour scheme for the new headquarters is a monochrome theme resulting in a smart and sophisticated finish.
Our Solution
UniteSE workstations - The UniteSE workstations with height adjustable benches allow for flexible working whilst offering a range of options that can be tailored to specific modern day workplace requirements. Etihad selected 120 degree workstations with high specification Corian worksurfaces for the call centre, while highly tailored solutions incorporating modesty panels were required for specialist training and meeting facilities. Benches and desks in open plan areas were integrated with UniteSE personal and team storage.
UniteSE & 400 Series storage system - The UniteSE Storage System meets the requirements of a modern flexible working space, perfectly integrating with workstations. Etihad installed hundreds of cabinets, configured as lockers, lateral drawer units, recycle bins and cupboards. Mobile pedestals are utilised for personal storage at each workstation.
Faveo, task & occasional seating range - Faveo, designed by Paul Brooks, is a task and occasional seating range which has received a Red Dot Design Award. The mesh back option was chosen by Etihad for task seating throughout the building.
Take5 seating (discontinued) - Elegant and timeless, KI's Take5 is a classic conference swivel chair. Take5 has Bauhaus influenced design with clean lines, excellent quality and long term seated comfort. 450 of these chairs, upholstered in leather were selected for Etihad's conference and meeting facilities.
